Privacy Policy

What data the site collects, which cookies it sets only with your consent, and how to change your choice.

Summary

Last updated 2026-09-20 (20 September 2026).

World Extreme Weather Monitor does not ask you to sign in, does not sell personal data, and does not build a profile of you itself.

At present the site runs no analytics or advertising scripts. A consent banner is still shown, defaulting to refusal, so that your choice is recorded before any such script is added. This page will be updated before that happens.

Hosting and Server Logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. That processing is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Search and Local Storage

Site search runs in your browser from files downloaded from this site. Your searches are not sent to a server. The site stores nothing on your device other than what is listed below.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Before you make a choice the site sets no cookies, does not load Google Analytics or Google AdSense, and sends nothing to third parties for these purposes. Google Consent Mode is set to denied by default. The table lists everything the site can store on your device.

The list changes if Google changes its cookies; see Google's policies for the current detail.

A banner asks for your choice on your first visit: accept all, reject non essential, or manage analytics and advertising separately. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. We remember your choice for 180 days, then ask again. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal and you have not chosen, we treat it as a refusal and do not show the banner. To review or withdraw consent at any time, use the "Cookie settings" button in the page footer or clear the wem_consent cookie in your browser. Withdrawing consent stops new collection; it does not undo processing already done.
